Respond to Audience Feedback - 2D Animation

"I struggled to read the writing that came up because it was too small and moved to fast.", "the first text box was a bit hard to read", "the titles are a little difficult to read as the text moves quite quickly and is very small."
A lot of people commented negatively on the speed and size of the text used. After reviewing my animation, I realised that the text used was on screen for a short amount of time, and often in large chunks, which can make it difficult for some members of the audience to fully read it. Next time I would make sure to include smaller chunks of text and try and keep the dialogue more simplistic as otherwise it doesn't really fit the style of my animation and story.

Multiple people commented on my characters and character development.
"its the most solid characters ive seen", "I like the character design" and "I like the use of a story line and characters".
I am very pleased to receive this feedback as I spent a lot of time on developing the characters so that they would fit into their roles and would give the animation a unique art style and would be interesting just from the look of the characters. Although I feel that I could've spent a little more time to give each characters more details, I am very pleased with the outcome of the characters.

"there could have been a few more sound effects"
Although I used quite a wide variety of sound effects, after watching my animation again there were still parts of it which were in absolute silence due to the lack of music and sound effects. This is obviously a big issue as it makes the animation seem unprofessional and the viewer might lose attention on the animation as no senses are stimulated. Next time I'll make sure to carefully go over the animation and make sure there is no lack of audio at any point throughout the animation to constantly have the attention of the viewer.
"it went on too long without the assitance of sound"
Linking to the lack of audio at some points in the animation, from the beginning I was worried about how the title screen would come across to the viewer. It was purposely very long and parodic, however I agree with the comment that it was very tedious to watch and read it all due to the lack of audio, maybe with the assistance of audio, whether it being music or some form of sound effect, it would've come across better and less boring. It is also very important as it is the first thing the audience gets to see from the animation, so if it doesn't attract them somehow then they could stop watching it.

"I like the crack on the screen when he flies into it.", "The crack at the end was impressive."
I received some good feedback about the crack which I used towards the end of my animation. I am very content with this as the intention was to involve the viewer somehow, and I feel that it worked well.
